Trio of French Lick Employees Nominated for ROSE Awards

Carissa Miller, Sara Grimes and Ryann Ayers singled out for outstanding customer service

FRENCH LICK, IN —French Lick Resort is pleased to announce that Carissa Miller (Server), Sara Grimes (Housekeeping Supervisor) and Ryann Ayers (Server) have been nominated for a ROSE award. The 19th annual ROSE Awards, presented by United Water, will take place this Wednesday, March 10 at the Indiana Roof Ballroom.

ROSE is an acronym for Recognition of Service Excellence. The Indianapolis Convention & Visitors Association coordinates the annual event to recognize employees and volunteers who positively influence a visitor’s experience either through one-on-one contact or behind-the-scenes action.

Supervisors nominate these non-management honorees based on their courteous attitude, knowledge of the workplace, ability to meet and exceed customer expectations and problem solving skills. They are true ambassadors of good will.

Hagen’s Server Carissa Miller has been with the resort for over 16 years. “Day in and day out Carissa strives for excellence and helps set the bar for other employees around her,” said Dave Harner, Director of Golf.

West Baden Housekeeping Supervisor Sara Grimes has had perfect attendance since her hire date some two and half years ago. She consistently gets praise on customer surveys. “She gives exceptional service everyday and motivates co-workers to exceed our expectations,” said Amanda Hawkins-Vogel, VP or Operations.

Ryann Ayers is another shining star at West Baden Springs Hotel. While going to school full-time at University of Southern Indiana, Ryann also gives of herself wholeheartedly to the resort. “She is always prepared for the unexpected and is ready to do whatever it takes to get the job done,” said Hawkins-Vogel.

A panel of community leaders will serve as judges to select ROSE Award recipients for lifetime achievement and exceptional service during 2009. More than 70 individuals will be honored during the gala event.

Mayor Greg Ballard is scheduled to present the awards at this year’s 19th annual ROSE Awards presented by United Water.
