Check In to Check Out

From the moment you check in, allow yourself to check out for a while. Don’t we all need a little break from life?

When it’s time to hit the pause button for a few days, West Baden Springs Hotel is a blissful escape to experience life as it should be: on your own terms. So go ahead. Sleep in. Tune out. Recharge, refresh. And find a little clarity when you lose yourself for a bit.

Relaxation Lasts All Day

Reading by the pool

Maybe it’s morning coffee on the veranda and a stroll through the historic gardens. An afternoon at the spa, unwinding with that massage you’ve been promising yourself. An evening of cocktails and great conversation under the iconic dome. It’s your much-needed slice of peace and quiet.

Explore the Outdoors

Beyond the hotel, there’s 3,000+ acres of wide-open spaces that were made for social distancing.

Play the #1 and #2 Indiana courses on GolfWeek’s “Best Courses You Can Play” at our Pete Dye and Donald Ross Courses. Get a rush up at the sporting clays range, which is now open to all resort guests for the first time — it’s a perfect outdoor activity, even for the novice marksman. Saddle up for a horseback trail ride; explore 10+ miles of trails via foot or mountain bike; hit the casino; or just locate some sunny real estate by the pool. There’s plenty of ways to choose your own adventure.

Drink It All In

Sip on something spirited. We’d recommend the Signature West Baden Bloody Mary, or a Manhattan made with the French Lick Select Woodford Reserve personally crafted by the resort’s food & beverage team. Or, your go-to cocktail is always the perfect complement for dinner under the dome at Ballard’s in the Atrium. Dining in the atrium is an experience not to be missed.

For another unique way to savor the atrium’s ambiance, sit down to Saturday Afternoon Tea. Take your pick of tempting teas, nibble on savory and sweet treats, and treat yourself to elegance like no other.

Get Out & About

Family riding the surrey cart

Beyond the resort, there’s a wealth of local attractions to satisfy all the senses.

Take a spirited side trip to the French Lick Winery and Spirits of French Lick Distillery, offering wine tastings and unique craft spirits and cocktails. Come hungry and plan a wine tasting around lunch at their Italian café. Explore all that downtown French Lick has to offer: unique wood carvings at Bear Hollow, homemade ice cream, cozy boutiques, local restaurants and more. A little further out, lakes, caves, wineries and state parks are just a short drive away.

It’s a Breath of Fresh Air

Couple on the balcony

Picture it: You’re stepping outside your guestroom on your own private balcony, morning coffee in hand, nowhere to be. Just you and a serene, spectacular bird’s-eye view of one of the most architecturally awe-inspiring hotels in the world.

Plan a historical tour and learn all about how this marvel was built in just one year’s time. Walk the gardens. Rock on the veranda. Cozy up in a chaise lounge and enjoy live jazz music wafting throughout the atrium. Life tends to slow down here. And we like it that way.
