Hank Williams Jr

Sunday, July 2 • 8pm
Doors Open at 6pm
Event Center • Hoosier Ballroom

Everyone knew his daddy; everyone expected the same ol’ song from him, but Hank Williams Jr. stepped out and developed his own sound borrowed from country, blues and rock. With his thunderous voice, Hank Jr’s music was powerful and rebellious but just as lonesome as his daddy’s had been. It took a life of quiet desperation and a tumble off a mountain for him to find his real voice. Today, Hank stays true to who he is with vocals that are rambunctious, forthright and distinctive. With 20 gold albums, six platinum albums (one of which has sold more than five million copies) and 13 chart-topping albums along with a CMA and ACM top entertainer prize and a BMI Icon award winner, he’s no longer just Hank Williams son. Today, Hank Williams Jr is an ambassador for country music, and an iconic musical legend in his own right.
