The Pete Dye Course at French Lick

The Pete Dye Course at French Lick is a par-72 championship course spanning a robust 8,102 yards on one of the Midwest’s most dramatic elevation points. Hall of Fame course designer Pete Dye called this his favorite inland design, and the golf world has taken notice. Featuring 40-mile panoramic views of the Indiana countryside, The Pete Dye Course at French Lick has been named “Best New Course of the Year” (2009) by Golf Magazine, National Course of the Year (2017) by the National Golf Course Owners Association, and Indiana’s No. 1-rated public course by Golfweek for 17 consecutive years.

The Donald Ross Course at French Lick

Originally constructed in 1917 by world-renowned architect Donald Ross, this par-70 championship course endures as a formidable test of old-school golf. With deep-faced bunkers, undulating greens and some of the most challenging par-3s in the game, The Donald Ross Course at French Lick underwent a 2006 restoration to preserve the elements of its classic design. This legendary course has been home to high-profile regional and national tournaments including the 1924 PGA Championship won by Walter Hagen.

The Valley Links Course at French Lick

Located adjacent to French Lick Springs Hotel, The Valley Links Course at French Lick is a regulation length 9-hole course and a conversion of the original Tom Bendelow Valley Links established in 1907. This par-36 course is perfect for golfers of all skill levels, and it maintains the park-like atmosphere of Bendelow's original course with rolling fairways, Scottish-style fescue grasses and strategically placed bunkers.

THE SAND CREEK COURSE AT FRENCH LICK

Indiana's newest golf course offers a totally new way to enjoy the game. Sand Creek is a short course featuring nine holes ranging between 40 and 90 yards, playable in about 75 minutes — perfect for beginners and seasoned golfers alike. Check in for your round at the Recreation Center, located between the pickleball courts and covered bridge.

Sultan's Run Golf Club

Sultan’s Run Golf Club, located 30 minutes away in Jasper, adds yet another championship course to the world-class offerings at French Lick Resort. Play the Ross, Dye and Sultan's Run, all part of a great golf getaway.

Sultan’s Run was designed by Pete Dye disciple Tim Liddy and offers a tremendous parkland layout with rolling hills, wonderful bunkering and a waterfall behind the 18th green, making it one of Indiana’s most scenic layouts.

Golf FAQs

Overnight guests of French Lick Resort have priority access to the Pete Dye, Donald Ross and Valley Links courses. If you are not a hotel guest and want to make a tee time, call (844) 489-0529 for rates and availability.

French Lick Resort’s complimentary resort shuttles run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week for convenience traveling between the golf courses, hotels, restaurants, casino and other resort amenities.

Please be aware that shuttle service is not provided outside of French Lick. If you plan to play Sultan’s Run Golf Club in Jasper, transportation will be on your own.

Men are required to wear golf shirts with a collar and golf shorts or slacks (no sleeveless shirts or gym shorts). For ladies, no swimwear or crop tops.

The Pete Dye Course requires a forecaddie with each group (rate of $50 per person, per round plus gratuity).

Caddies may be available at The Donald Ross Course upon request.

Should you decide not to play because of inclement weather conditions, please visit the golf shop to discuss your options.

Personal coolers or outside alcoholic beverages are not permitted on any of the courses.

French Lick Resort is a licensed premise, and it is against Indiana law to bring alcoholic beverages onto licensed premises.

Premium rental clubs are available at all courses for $75 per day, including balls and tees.

The Pete Dye Course has a driving range that can be used during day of play only.

There is not a driving range at The Donald Ross Course. There is a 4-bay warmup net on site at the Ross Course, and golfers also have access to the driving range located at The Valley Links Course.

FootGolf is no longer available at French Lick Resort. However, our new Sand Creek Course at French Lick Resort is a terrific family-friendly option that all ages can enjoy. All nine holes are 90 yards or less, and children 18 and younger receive a special youth rate.
