Volunteer for The Donald Ross Classic

The future stars of women’s golf will again bring a buzz to French Lick Resort this summer as the Symetra Tour’s Donald Ross Classic returns to the legendary Donald Ross Course at French Lick. You can be part of the action by serving as a volunteer for this championship event.

It’s been proven time and again that we have the greatest volunteers in golf at French Lick Resort! We’d like to thank our past volunteers for their support and ask for your assistance as we gear up for the Donald Ross Classic in July followed by the Senior LPGA Championship in October.

  1. Help a worthy cause! Orange County Habitat for Humanity is the benefiting charity of the Donald Ross Classic. Resort Charity Events and Cook Group have pledged $25,000 per year to Habitat through 2021 to aid in building a new home each year for an Orange County family.

  2. Watch the up-and-coming women on the road to the LPGA Tour.

  3. Meet new people — who knows, your fellow volunteer could be your new golf buddy!

  4. See all the behind-the-scenes action and what it takes to run a championship event.

  5. Have fun and enjoy a day out on the golf course, which is better than a day anywhere else!

The Donald Ross Classic commences with practice rounds starting July 10 followed by the three-round tournament July 12, 13 and 14 at the historic Donald Ross Course.

We expect significant volunteer interest, so please register early to secure your desired position and date. We will do our best to satisfy individual requests, but please know that our top priority is to place our best volunteers in key roles to ensure a great championship week. Volunteers can apply from March 10 through May 15 for the Donald Ross Classic. Stay tuned for more information on volunteer sign-ups for the Senior LPGA Championship.

The volunteer fee is $50, which includes a shirt and cap in addition to the rounds at the course. Meals and refreshments will be provided for volunteers. A volunteer appreciation reception is planned for Saturday, July 13, at the Donald Ross cart barn following the awards.

For each day you volunteer, you will receive a complimentary round of golf at The Donald Ross Course. Volunteers who work all three days of the Donald Ross Classic and all three days of the Senior LPGA Championship will receive, in addition to their Ross rounds, a complimentary round at the Pete Dye Course. If you volunteer for The Donald Ross Classic, you will also receive a reduced fee for the Senior LPGA Championship in the fall.
