Resort offers fun fall experiences for all ages
FRENCH LICK, IN (October 3, 2008) – To celebrate fall foliage inSouthern Indiana, French Lick Resort announces its month-long AutumnMagic Festival. The resort is offering its guests and general publicmany unique experiences to enjoy the fall season from October 1 –November 1. Visitors are given the opportunity to view the leavesduring a guided boat tour on scenic Patoka Lake or by a 20-mile roundtrip on a vintage train. Plane tours are also offered to those who areinterested in seeing the leaves from a bird’s eye view. A variety ofother tours are available for outdoor enthusiasts, including exploringthe grounds through hiking, bicycling and horseback riding. In additionto the fall foliage tours, many special events are scheduled throughoutthe month. Visitors may try their hand at the Maze of Delights at theFrench Lick Springs Hotel. This magical maze, consisting of hay-bailsand a variety of fall décor, changes slightly every day to challengeits returning visitors. A pumpkin patch walk and an assortment ofseasonal desserts and drinks are available daily as well. Liveentertainment including music, puppetry and magicians is being offeredat the French Lick Springs Hotel every weekend throughout October. Anice cream social and special entertainment including classical musicwill be held on October 4, 11 and 25 at the West Baden Springs Hotel.In addition, the hotel is hosting a Fall Floral Display in its atriumon October 20 – November 14. Florists from around the Midwest areinvited to create and display the ultimate fall floral arrangements.The winner will be determined by hotel guests and visitors. A varietyof activities specifically for kids are also scheduled every weekend atthe resort’s KidFest area. October activities include pumpkin painting,fall crafts, leaf searching and much more.
