FRENCH LICK, Ind. – From the “King of Comedy” to two of country music’s top performers, French Lick is starting off 2009 with some of the biggest names in the industry.
Music lovers and those who just want a laugh will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the show-stopping talent in the resort’s 1,600 seat venue.
First in the line-up is legend, comedian, award-winning actor, producer, writer, director and singer Jerry Lewis. Best-known for his slapstick humor in stage, screen and television, Lewis will bring his unique style of comedy to the Windsor Ballroom.
Jerry Lewis Film Festival---Jan. 27-29
French Lick Resort is celebrating Jerry’s visit with five days of
activities for the diehard fan. Between Tuesday, Jan. 27 and Jan. 29,
two classic Jerry Lewis movies will be shown each evening. Classic
Lewis films such as “Nutty Professor”, “The Bellboy”, and “Family
Jewels” will be featured. Showtime begins at 5 & 8 p.m. in the
Windsor Ballroom. Tickets are $5 and can be purchased at the door. A
cash bar and concessions will be available.
Dinner, Movie and Look-a-like-Contest---Jan. 30
Guests will be able to vote for their favorite Jerry Lewis movie, have
dinner and enter a look-a-like contest on January 30th from 7pm-11pm in
the Windsor Ballroom. The winner of the contest will receive a private
meet and greet with Jerry Lewis and two tickets for his performance on
Saturday, January 31. Dinner and movie packages are available for $30.

Jerry Lewis Comedy Show---Jan. 31, 8 p.m.
One of the most recognized people in show business, Lewis will bring
his original brand of comedy to French Lick for a live stage
performance on Saturday, Jan. 31. Re-live the golden age of
entertainment with the master of comic timing.

Country Cookin′ Weekend featuring Lee Ann Womack in concert---Feb. 20-21
The resort is going country with a host of weekend activities on Feb.
20-21. Come on down to the resort on Friday evening , Feb. 20 and take
in live country music by some of the region’s best in the Power Plant
lounge and on the casino floor.
What goes better with country music than country cooking? French Lick is cooking up a Southern specialties food fair on Saturday, Feb. 21from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Guests are invited to browse, and sample a variety of regional country favorites featuring “good ole” Southern favorites like country ham and grits. The highlight of the show will be the “World’s Best Sausage Gravy & Biscuits” competition at 3 p.m. in the Clifton Ballroom.
The weekend culminates with a concert by country legend Lee Ann Womack. The Grammy-award winning singer/songwriter best known for her smash hit, “I Hope You Dance,” will grace the French Lick stage on Saturday, Feb. 21. Guest will be treated to Womack’s straight-from-the-heart vocals including these Billboard top 10 singles: "The Fool", "You've Got To Talk To Me", "I'll Think Of A Reason Later", "Ashes by Now" and "I May Hate Myself in the Morning " as well as titles from her new album, “Call Me Crazy.”

Clint Black---May 31, 8 p.m.
After almost 20 years in the business, Clint Black needs no introduction. As one of the most popular and acclaimed vocalists in country music, Clint’s hits include “A Better Man”, “A Good Run of Bad Luck”, “Killin Time’” and “Nothin’ But the Taillights.”
