Old-Time Country Fair Coming to French Lick

Resort to be transformed into vintage carnival for Labor Day Weekend

FRENCH LICK, IN — Guests can expect good old-fashioned family fun when they visit this Labor Day weekend. The entire front of the French Lick Springs Hotel will be converted into a vintage country fair with nostalgic games, classic entertainment and of course, tasty treats.

Families can play the games of yesteryear like ring toss, balloon darts, clown face bean bag toss and more. Kids can “step right up” and try their hand at watermelon seed spitting, pie throwing and sack races. There will even a dunking booth! Stilt walkers, jugglers and clowns will be roaming the grounds while Dixieland Bands and Barbershop Quartets will be filling the air with sounds of days-gone-by.

Since no carnival would be complete without fair food, a variety of treats will be available for purchase including cotton candy, corndogs, popcorn and more. Guests can satisfy their sweet tooth— and get in on the action with the carnival’s cake walk.
