We can see the light at the end of the tunnel in our dome and roof repairs — quite literally!
You may remember baseball-sized hail damaged 12,000 square feet of glass panels, original clay tiles and asphalt shingles lining the top of our historic dome at West Baden Springs Hotel in a hailstorm on June 25, 2023. All the glass panels have now been replaced and the protective coverings on the dome have been removed. With this major phase complete, it’s great to see sunlight shining through our atrium skylights once again.
Work is ongoing to repair tiles and shingles atop the dome. When roof work is complete, finishing touches will be made inside the atrium to replace water-damaged carpet and move furniture back into place.
