Bring Your Pup for a Dog Friendly Stay

Visiting French Lick Resort? Make sure your pup is along for the ride. Dog-friendly rooms are available at all three of our hotels, so bring them along and explore our property together.

Dog Policy

  • We welcome dogs up to 60 pounds in weight. Our pet policy is extended only to dogs at this time.
  • Dog-friendly rooms are limited in amount and limited to specific room types. Dogs are not permitted in balcony rooms.
  • When booking online, please use the “Additional Details and Preferences” box to request dog-friendly accommodations.
  • A $150 nonrefundable dog fee per stay will be applied. At the time of booking an overnight reservation, guests must disclose their plan to arrive at any of our resort hotels with a dog. Failure to inform the reservationist or a front desk associate about bringing a dog will result in the guestroom account being charged $150 in addition to the standard $150 pet fee.
  • The dog fee and weight limit do not apply to service animals.
  • Dogs are not permitted to be in food and beverage outlets, pool areas, fitness centers, spas or on furniture in public spaces.
  • Dogs must be on leash or in a carrier when in public areas.
  • Dogs are not to be left unattended at any time, unless they are kept in a travel carrier or crate.
  • Dog owners must provide a cell phone number to be on file at the front desk.
  • A maximum of two dogs are allowed. If additional dogs are discovered in the guestroom, an additional $100 fee per dog will be charged to the guestroom account.
  • Dog owners are responsible for any damage or disruption to other guests or associates that dogs may cause. If deep cleaning is necessary because of the dog, an appropriate fee will be added to the guestroom account. Guests will also be accountable for any complaints from other guests resulting in financial loss to the resort (i.e. restitution to disturbed guests or other incidents).

Walking Trails

Spread out across more than 3,000 acres, French Lick Resort is full of room for you and your dog to get out and about. Take a quick stroll on the 1-mile paved trail between both hotels. The Ferguson Trail, which runs between the towns of French Lick and West Baden Springs, offers a few more miles for a longer walk. And if you’re up for more of an adventure, the hiking trails that wind through the Hoosier National Forest are a great spot for you and your pup to roam.

Doggy Dining

At West Baden Springs Hotel, our In-Room Doggie Dining serves up gourmet dishes fit for a king. West Baden’s executive chef tested out these canine delicacies on his own dog, using high-quality ingredients that go into human food. Spoil your dog with the Steak or Chicken a La Pooch, or a fish cake. The menu also features favorites named after canine guests who’ve frequented the resort: Moses’ Meatloaf, Bo’s Half Pounder and Scooter’s Biscuit du Jour. You’ll receive a Doggy Dining menu at check-in, along with a dog bowl and treats.

Lucy's Bark Park

Lucy's Bark Park is a green space just for you and your furry traveling companion. The park is open daily for dogs only that are at least 4 months old, overnight guests at the resort, up-to-date on all required pet vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. Our double-gated transition entrance and fenced-in space will provide all the safety and security your dog needs to run off some energy.
