History: A short course originally existed on the French Lick Resort grounds in the early 1900s. What’s old is new again at this brand-new 9-hole course where golfers of all levels can experience the game in a completely different way.

Sand Creek is a true short course with holes ranging between 40 and 90 yards. Playable in 75 minutes, it’s friendly for novice golfers, families and social groups. Serious golfers also love it for the hole-in-one potential and miniature elements borrowed from the resort’s two championship courses, such as the Pete Dye volcano bunkers and contours of the Donald Ross greens.

Coming soon, music and lighting for late-night play will add to the laid-back vibe of this year-round course

Location: Behind French Lick Springs Hotel and French Lick Casino, adjacent to the Valley Links Course and driving range.

History: This recreation hall on the West Baden Springs Hotel grounds first opened to guests on Christmas Day in 1917. More than a century later, we’re reviving this historic building for its original use.

After sitting vacant and being unused for at least 50 years, the Billiard & Bowling Pavilion is coming back to life with a six-lane bowling alley and pool tables. A pizzeria and bar will add to the fun and games, making this an ideal late-night hangout during your stay at West Baden Springs Hotel.

Location: In the gardens along the back brick drive to the hotel.

Opening Date: Fall 2025

History: Repairs to the iconic West Baden Springs Hotel dome and surrounding roof and cupolas are complete following a severe hailstorm in June 2023.

The first phase was finished in spring 2024 when 12,000 square feet of glass skylights were replaced atop the hotel’s world-famous dome. In August 2024, work wrapped up on replacing shingles and clay tiles to mark the completion of all dome and roof repairs.

The next milestone was reached in February 2025 with beautiful new carpet laid in the atrium. The final step was repairing, washing and painting each of the towers on the hotel's exterior. On June 25, 2025 — two years to the date of the catastrophic hailstorm — the last of the scaffolding was removed from the hotel’s exterior to mark the official conclusion of this colossal renovation.
