Total Solar Eclipse at French Lick Resort

Ready for the biggest 3 minutes of 2024?

We certainly are around here! Eclipse Day is guaranteed to be huge as we welcome thousands of overnight guests and additional visitors for Monday’s once-in-a-lifetime solar spectacle. Whether you’re staying with us overnight or just driving in for the day, here’s a rundown of what you can look forward to in the next few days, and you can also find more info here.

We’ll have two viewing locations that are accessible to both resort guests and the public. At French Lick Springs Hotel, the action will be on the front lawn. At West Baden Springs Hotel, look for the festivities at East Park (just a short walk from the hotel).

  • From 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at both viewing locations we’ll have music, games, kids’ activities and more. Eclipse T-shirts, sweatshirts and collectibles will be available for purchase.
  • Don’t forget to grab a Solar Passport for the kids for an all-in-one ticket to the bounce house, star gazing dome, snacks and activities.

  • Come early for Sunday’s Solar Giveaway! It’s our biggest giveaway in years with up to $100,000 in cash and rewards up for grabs. We’ll draw a total of 50 winners, each winning $500 in French Lick Rewards, and the lucky grand prize winner will be drawn at 7 p.m. (A French Lick Rewards card is required, and if you don’t have one, it’s free to sign up.)
  • While supplies last, be sure to pick up a commemorative French Lick Casino chip. The $25 eclipse chips will be available at table games and the casino cashier from April 5-8. They’re valid for use at table games, so lay down a bet with one before you take it home!

  • \While you’re waiting for the big eclipse moment, knock back a cocktail (or four.) There’s tons of out-of-this-world options on our Cosmic Cocktail Tour. Try a Suntini at Hagen’s Club House Restaurant; a Space Invader at 1875: The Steakhouse; a Solar Eclipse of the Heart at Power Plant Bar & Grill; or a Starry Night at Ballard’s in the Atrium. Enjoy four of these specialty cocktails available April 5-8 and receive an eclipse-themed souvenir while supplies last. Pick up your cocktail tour map at the front desk or concierge at French Lick and West Baden Springs Hotels.
  • More of a bourbon fan? Take home a bottle of commemorative eclipse-themed bottle of French Lick Personal Select Woodford Reserve. Purchase it at Ballard’s bar at West Baden Springs Hotel, or through in-room dining.
