In the spirit of this weekend's National Bourbon Day, pour a glass and enjoy something special.
From our signature French Lick Resort bourbons to upcoming events with a spirited twist, check out 7 ways you can experience bourbon in and around French Lick Resort.

Our Brand-New Select Bourbon
Produced exclusively for French Lick Resort, the newest member to our lineup of signature bourbons comes from Buffalo Trace Distillery in the heart of Kentucky bourbon country.
This select barrel was picked by members of our Food & Beverage Team here at French Lick Resort, and it's already a guest favorite. It’s terrific in an old fashioned, and it also goes down smooth on the rocks, neat, or in your cocktail of choice. Ask for the Buffalo Trace Select at any resort restaurant or bar.

Top Shelf at 1875: The Steakhouse
Speaking of Buffalo Trace, their E.H. Taylor Small Batch is back at 1875: The Steakhouse — get it while you can, because this limited availability bourbon always goes quickly.
1875 will be your place for spirits you may not find everywhere. Like Straight from the Barrel Blanton’s, which “I’ve never seen in the wild,” as 1875 veteran bartender Tomi Parker likes to say.
From Jefferson’s Ocean Aged at Sea, to our French Lick Private Select Woodford Reserve, there’s more than two dozen bourbons to choose from here. Tough choices, but always happy sipping.

Smoke Your Bourbon at Sinclair’s
As the kids say, this is fire. (But no actual fire involved.)
Smoked bourbon is the newest way to enjoy your drink in Sinclair’s Restaurant at West Baden Springs Hotel. It’s done at your table, right before your eyes. A flameless device goes onto your glass, releasing a smoky down into your drink, and voila — your standard bourbon selection gets dressed up with smoky essence.
A rotation of wood chips (pear, hickory, apple, oak, cherry, etc.) is used for a new smoke du jour from day to day. Stay tuned, because one of the featured cocktails at the bar in our soon-to-be-opened Billiard and Bowling Pavilion features smoked bourbon as well.

Bourbon Tasting Train
How ‘bout bourbon at 100+ mph?
There are three chances over the next few months to hop aboard the Bourbon Tasting Train. This is a themed ride offered by our partners at French Lick Scenic Railway, featuring small plates paired with a bourbon lineup featuring Koval Single Barrel, Barmen 1873 and Wilderness Trail Straight Wheated. Book the package for June 21, July 19 or September 20 and once your ride returns to the station, you’ll still have the entire evening to enjoy at one of our historic hotels.

Buffalo Trace Prohibition Bourbon Package
Bourbon enthusiasts: If there’s one thing here that’s a bucket-list item, this is it.
Make plans to be here October 18 for a bourbon event that’s the only one of its kind in the Midwest. This will be a unique throwback event featuring the first release of Buffalo Trace Distillery’s Prohibition Collection: a collection of five whiskeys licensed to be bottled as medicinal spirits during the Prohibition era at Kentucky’s George T. Stagg Distillery. Today known as Buffalo Trace, this is the longest continuously operating distillery in America.
Our Pete Dye Mansion will make the perfect setting for this Roaring Twenties-themed reception. Just act soon if you want to experience it. It is limited to 20 people, and only a few packages remain.

Bourbon & Bites
Circle September 12 on your calendar for one of our most popular events. Five bourbons, a 5-course tasting menu, the ambiance of Friday night under the West Baden Springs Hotel dome. The perfect way to kick off a weekend getaway.
This is also during Vintage Week at the hotel, with special tours, vintage car displays, live music and special events including the always-popular Vintage Base Ball exhibition the same weekend as Bourbon & Bites.

More Bourbon Drink Specials
Drink ‘em in during your stay this summer.
If you haven’t tried our French Lick Personal Select Maker’s Mark 46, try it with ginger ale and lemon. It’s a perfect refresher on a hot day, and you can find this summer special at any bar or sit-down restaurant resort-wide.
Or, can we pour you a Happy Hour special? House old fashioneds are half price (along with margaritas and draft beer for non-boubon-lovers) from 4:00 to 5:00 every afternoon at Power Plant Bar & Grill, Ballard’s in the Atrium, Valley Bar & Grill, and French Lick Casino bars.
