Get a taste of it: Triple Threat Seafood Risotto at Sinclair's Restaurant; Duroc Pork Chop at Valley Bar & Grill; Salmon BST at Hagen's Club House Restaurant; Grand Marnier Bundt Cake at Ballard's in the Atrium.
Skip breakfast and save your appetite for this one. This weekend is National Foodie Day and it’s time to treat yourself.
Whether it’s a table for two, a meal with friends or trying one of our culinary events like Afternoon Tea, there are unique foodie finds around every corner here at French Lick Resort. Here are just a few of the possibilities for a foodie tour during your next visit.

Table One
A must-try experience for any serious (and adventurous) foodie.
When you sit down to dine at our private chef’s table, you won’t know exactly what’s coming next on this 5-course menu. Our chef consults you directly when you book Table One to understand what foods your group likes or dislikes. From there, our chefs take your input and their creativity to create plates you’re not likely to find anywhere else.

Could be Freedom Run Farm Lamb Steak, Sauce Vierge, Purple Potatoes and Charred Broccolini (pictured above). Could be Pan-Seared Stuffed Sole with Wild Rice Pilaf, Grilled Zucchini and Orange Beurre Blanc. The element of surprise adds an extra dash of spice to chef-crafted cuisine to create a dining experience you’ll be talking about for weeks to come.

Barnsley Lamp Chop with Green Harissa
Sinclair’s Restaurant
Speaking of Table One, some of their most well-received dishes have made their way onto the new menu at nearby Sinclair’s Restaurant at West Baden Springs Hotel.
One is the Barnsley Lamb Chop: a 16 oz. cut from the loin that produces a bone-in chop plus a section of tenderloin filet. It’s also sourced from Kentucky’s Freedom Run Farm. The Veal Marsala, sauteed with local mushrooms and Marsala cream with bucatini pasta, is another hit from the new menu.

New starters at Sinclair's (clockwise from upper left): Fried Green Tomato Stack, Watermelon Arugula Salad, Grilled Little Gem Salad, Shrimp Ceviche.
Back on the menu by popular demand, with an updated twist, is the Cornmeal-Dusted Fried Green Tomato Stack with Pimento Cheese, Sliced Avocado, Bourbon Bacon Jam, Pickled Red Onions and Aged Balsamic. Don’t forget to save room at Sinclair’s for their signature West Baden Chocolate Dome, which satisfies any chocolate fix without being overbearingly sweet.

1875: The Steakhouse
Impressive steaks — from the bestselling 8 oz. Queen Cut Filet to the 32 oz. Wagyu Tomahawk — are naturally the expectation here. Don’t miss out some of 1875’s other entrée selections, including this weekend’s National Foodie Day special. Pan-seared Halibut with Corn Poblano Risotto, Lemon Cream Sauce and Broccolini, available June 27 and 28 while supplies last.

1875 will be rolling out a new menu coming soon. Can’t spoil any surprises just yet, but trust us, you won’t want to miss some of the menu enhancements that are on the way.

Valley Bar & Grill
When was the last time you found Cedar Plank Salmon and Sweet Challah Pullman Bread Pudding on the menu at a sports bar?
Valley Bar & Grill, just around the corner from French Lick Casino, features a couple of mouth-watering, unexpected finds on their menu. You can also order up Filet Mignon here, along with locally sourced Fischer Farms beef with the classic steakburger or satisfying ribeye.

Save room for dessert at Valley Bar & Grill: Salted Caramel Pretzel Cheesecake and Sweet Challah Pullman Bread Pudding.

Hagen’s Club House Restaurant
The PB&J Burger is an experience you just gotta try at Hagen’s. A half-pound grilled brisket/short rib patty, swiss cheese, then creamy peanut butter and jelly for a sweet and savory kick. It’s become a menu staple, and everyone who tries it becomes a believer.

Of course, choices are tough at Hagen’s. Especially with some of their other favorites (pictured here) including the Signature BBQ Ribs with house-made sauce, the California Burrito (loaded with carne asada, french fries, guac, pico de gallo, cheese and sour cream), the Salmon BST or the Summer Salad.

Ballard’s in the Atrium
If it’s been a while since you’ve dined under the dome at Ballard’s in the Atrium, give the Maine Lobster Roll a try. It’s been a guest favorite, and it’s perfect in the summertime when you’re not feeling an entrée served hot. For something on the light side, Ballard’s entrée salads like the Chicken Salad Plate or the Classic Caesar with Salmon are always a winner.
