Around here, the fall feels just hit different.
You can feel, see, and even smell and taste the autumn vibes all throughout our 3,200 acres that will soon be glowing with color. And there’s a little something everyone can enjoy this season. Whether it’s a family trip for fall break, an autumn getaway for just the two of you, or one last hurrah to enjoy the great outdoors, we’ve got your fall itinerary waiting.

Fall for Outdoor Enthusiasts
Welcome to Full Force Fall. The mission? Get out and about and experience all the thrills across every corner of the resort.

- Stay up at The Stables, and the action starts to crank up at the sporting ranges. Whether it’s your first time firing a gun or shooting a bow — or you’re already an accomplished marksman — pretty much everyone walks away happy they tried a sporting clays shoot or archery shoot. Especially during cooler and colorful fall days, mark this down as a must-do on the itinerary.
- Next, squeeze in a game of pickleball — don’t forget to pack those paddles). Then it’s time to get off the grid for a bit. Resort-wide you’ll find a total of 12+ miles to hike in the Hoosier National Forest, and if you’re looking for a route with challenge and scenery, combine Trails 2 and 3 for a 9-mile jaunt. Seeking the best color? Peak fall color is expected to arrive here around the last week of October.

Family Fall Time
- Start the day with a relaxed round on our new Sand Creek Course. This is the perfect starter course for youngsters and even beginners. Every hole is between 40 and 90 yards, clubs and balls are provided, and you can finish a round in under 90 minutes … leaving you plenty of time for what’s in store the rest of the day.
- Grab lunch at Power Plant Bar & Grill, then it’s pool time. We’re talking actual splash time in the sun here. Our outdoor pools stay open well into October, and this will be the spot to be if this summer warmth keeps hanging on. And when pool season ends, you’ll be able to find special Halloween activities to try at the Activities Center.

- Finish the day with a little tour through all the best parts of fall, wrapped into one afternoon at our Hayride, S’mores and Pumpkin Patch. The kids will eat it up. And it’ll bring back childhood memories for the grown-up kids at heart. Plan a weekend around this experience, offered every Thursday and Saturday between October 4 & 25. (And if you happen to be coming October 18, don’t miss our last Chuckwagon Cookout of the season up at The Stables.)

An Autumn Couple’s Getaway
It’s finally time for both of you to rest, relax and unwind. So we’re not in any hurry to get this day started.
- Savor that morning coffee, then the first item of business isn’t until lunchtime. Take the resort shuttle up to The Mansion at The Pete Dye Course for a special lunch date. The mansion is open exclusively to golfers most of the year, but in October it’s open to all guests to enjoy a great lunch with breathtaking views. The 40-mile vistas atop Mt. Airie are worth the trip any time of year — during fall, vibrant foliage in all directions is truly a “wow” moment.

- From there? Spend the afternoon together and experience a couples massage. Our spa at French Lick Springs Hotel is open to guests of West Baden Springs Hotel—and vice versa, the West Baden Springs Hotel spa accommodates those staying at French Lick Springs Hotel. This is a great opportunity to book a treatment at the hotel opposite of where you’re staying and experience both properties.

- Similarly, horse-drawn carriage rides are offered at both hotels. This is the perfect cap to your fairytale day. A private ride, just for two, cuddled up and falling in love all over again.
